"Fall Cut"

I enjoy beginning with a photographic image and then allowing the application of oil based materials to become an abstract field of color and texture.  The artwork presents a striking interplay of colors and textures, with a prominent floral motif that appears both abstract and representational. The use of muted tones juxtaposed with vibrant splashes creates a dynamic visual tension. The layering technique adds depth, inviting viewers to explore the complexities within the composition. However, the contrast between the detailed flower and the chaotic background may overwhelm some viewers, potentially detracting from the central theme. Overall, it is a thought-provoking piece that challenges traditional floral representations.
